Few know that basketball is near-religion in the Philippines...a vibrant symbol of the culture’s stubborn tenacity, optimism, and hope. And after hundreds of games lost, thousands of shots missed, and 35 years of heartbreak, the Philippine men’s national basketball team earned their spot to compete for the FIBA World Cup of Basketball in Spain 2014.
We were asked to express these traits and feel both momentous and personal...worthy of the size of moment, and recognizable to the faithful back at home. From quick lateral play, to handcrafted texture, to an in-your-face tone of voice—we used them all to impact retail, events and digital—and lift everybody’s spirits along the way.
